A Parent’s Worse Nightmare

Day 13 of a 30 Writing Challenge

Today’s post will be a very painful blog, it will tug at your heart strings.

Last year a distant relative lost her son to suicide (a Parent’s Worse Nightmare).

This past week, I learned a friend’s teen daughter ended her life. This girl was beautiful on the outside, however she was broken on the inside.

As a parent, I’m sure you ¬†go through a period where you feel guilty you didn’t see the signs or get the person professional help in time. Of course we love our children and loved ones and wants the best for them, however sometimes we look at of family members with blinders, hoping/praying the issues will go away.

NO I’m not blaming anyone! I think more needs to be done to educate the public of the signs of suicide and how to get the person help, regardless of having insurance.

In Florida you can call 211 24/7 for help. You can call 911 too, if you are desperate.

Please talk with your loved ones everyday and educate yourself about suicide.

Don’t ASSUME the person is getting help or someone else will help, air on the side of caution and act on your feelings!

I’m asking everyone to excuse me for adding the GoFundMe link, however this troubled teen deserves a proper burial and the family needs help. Please forgive me for pleading for your help on this page, I know many of you don’t have a bond with me yet.

Please hug your love ones tighter today!

Have a blessed day!
