Guest Blogger: Suzanne Woods Fisher and New Book The Imposter

Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather, mother nature is gracing us with.

I’m so honored and blessed to have personally meet Amish Author Suzanne Fisher Words.

On October 5th, 2015, her new book “The Imposter” was released.

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Mrs. Fisher to learn more about  her  latest book.

Please continue reading to learn more about her newest release, which is the first book in her new ‘Bishop’s Family’ series and comment below to be entered to win a copy of The Imposter.

Grab a cup of coffee or tea, while you fall in love with the “Bishop Family” series.

Interview with Suzanne Fisher Woods:

Book Blurb:
Katrina Stoltzfus thought she had life and love all figured out: she was going to
marry John and live happily ever after. Those plans started to crumble when her
father moved the family to Stoney Ridge, then completely collapsed when John
decided to marry someone else. Katrina is devastated.
How could she have feel so loved, yet been so deceived?
As she struggles to face a future without him, a widow asks for her help to start anew business and Katrina quickly agrees. She needs time to heal her broken heart, to untangle her messy life, to find a purpose.
What she doesnt need is attention from Andy Miller, a farm hand who arrives at the widows farm just when help is most needed–and who always seems to say the right thing, and be in the right place, at the right time.

Is Andy for real, or too good to be true? Deceived once before, Katrina is determined to

keep her feelings in check. When a cascade of events is set in motion by some surprising information, the little Amish church is turned upside down. Soon, everyone has a stake in the
outcome, and the community struggles to find the best response to an imposter.
Please keep reading to learn more about this must read book…

If you are like me, you love the Amish stories Mrs. Fisher writes. The Imposter will have you fixated to the book, unable to put it down (even at 2am in the morning and having to go to work soon).

The questions and answers below will lead you into a world unlike our own, as we unravel the details of The Imposter, a wonderful Amish story.

1. Give me three facts about the book, readers must know.

The Stoltzfus family is relocating to Stoney Ridge from Ohio; some customs and traditions they bring with them will be a little different.

In The Imposter, David Stoltzfus is a minister. His character is modeled after an inspiring Amish bishop I’ve had the privilege of knowing.

The Imposter is not who you think he/she is. Or…maybe he/she is?

2. As an author, you’re known for doing your homework with the Amish people. How

are you able to gather stories and details to make your books seem more real?

I’ve written four non-fiction books about the Amish. They required quite a bit of research, and I believe they’ve given me a good and on-going foundation to write credible fiction. I try to represent the Amish as accurately as possible in my books, but I’m the first to admit that fiction is fiction. These are stories, meant to entertain and inspire and educate.

3. What is a Quieting and how often do the Amish do this?

Quietings are quite rare, but they do happen when an unrepentant church leader has his ordination revoked. It’s a devastating experience for a church—not because of the Quieting, but because of what leads up to it. I liken it to a root canal. The actual procedure isn’t so bad…but the pain that gets you there is awful.

You can find “Imposter” at Amazon, CBD,, or at your favorite Christian bookstore. And I can be found on-line at

Have a blessed writing day!

“I am participating in the Writing Contest: How Writing Has Positively Influenced My Life. This contest is hosted by Positive Writer.”

“I am participating in the Writing Contest: How Writing Has Positively Influenced My Life.  This contest is hosted by Positive Writer.” Blogging for me is an outlet to embrace my three favorite things…. Educate/teach, Inspire and Communicate with others. Through my blogs I teach and educate people on how to cut their grocery bill in half using coupons.

I also teach my readers about the Amish Lifestyle and how to learn the Deitsch (Amish language). My personal writer/author blog site offers my readers a place to share thoughts on an array of different topics. My blogs serve as a forum to inspire and communicate with my readers, in a pleasant yet powerful way.  I have received many comments, private messages and thanks for sharing my blogs with my readers. Several readers have revealed to me that their lives changed or improved after reading my blogs, especially my coupon blogs. One single mom wrote: she had no food in her home and only $100 for the month. I taught her how to buy her family’s groceries using coupons, so she’d have food for the whole month and some left over for future use for less than $100. She was so grateful and blessed for my help, which resulted in her family having 6 weeks worth of groceries, health care supplies, toiletries and other needed items for a total of $85. As my blogs educate and inspire my readers, it secretly fills a void in my live as well. Due to medical and financial issues my family experienced, I needed away to express my feelings, while bettering our family situation, blogging afforded me the outlet to do both successfully. It is amazing, but true one comment or sentence in or on a blog site can encourage a person and have even saved lives of a person in a distraught situation. I know in my personal life, this has happened. What a blessing and honor it is to be in a position to make the difference in a stranger’s life through my words; this is a very powerful blessing. I’m truly blessed to be a blogger and blogging is helping me to become a Free Lance Writer.
